As Drumline Co-Head, I helped lead rehearsals, coordinate performances, and maintain the precision and energy of the ensemble. I supported members in refining difficult passages, kept rehearsals focused, and worked to ensure that everyone felt confident and prepared.

Beyond musical performance, the drumline plays an important role in building school spirit. During games and campus events, our beats help energise the crowd, support the athletes, and keep the momentum going, especially during tense or quieter moments. I learned how rhythm can bring people together and shape the atmosphere of an entire event.

This role strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, adapt to different working styles, and unite a group around a shared goal. It also taught me that strong leadership is not only about setting the tempo but about listening, building confidence, and helping each member contribute to the collective sound.
