My Journey

I hope to become someone who not only understands scientific concepts but also is able to apply them thoughtfully to real-world challenges.

As the world continues to change, scientific knowledge alone will not always be enough. Creativity, empathy, and an understanding of people are equally important when turning research into practical solutions. I am especially interested in the spaces where these fields intersect, where scientific ideas can move beyond the laboratory and make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

At the same time, I hope to continue developing educational initiatives that make learning more accessible, particularly for students and communities with limited resources.

Three values guide the way I learn, lead, and approach the future: curiosity, impact, and growth.

Curiosity pushes me to keep learning beyond the classroom. Whether I am participating in competitions, conducting research, or joining academic programs, I enjoy encountering unfamiliar ideas and challenging myself to view the world from new perspectives.

Impact reminds me that knowledge becomes most meaningful when it is shared and put into practice. Through community-based projects, I hope to create educational and creative opportunities for people who may not otherwise have access to them.

Growth means being willing to face challenges, reflect on mistakes, and continue moving forward. Each academic pursuit, leadership experience, and personal obstacle has helped me become more resilient, thoughtful, and intentional about the person I hope to become.

My story has never followed a single path. It has moved between laboratories and rehearsal rooms, research questions and community projects, scientific precision and creative expression. I have spent years studying living systems, performing music, leading student communities, and finding ways to make education more accessible. At first, these interests seemed separate. Over time, I began to recognise the same instinct behind all of them: a desire to look closely, understand deeply, and use what I learn to create something meaningful.

That instinct appears in different forms. It is present when I investigate how sugar concentration affects bacterial cellulose growth, when I listen carefully to another musician while accompanying them, and when I translate an article into Vietnamese to preserve a connection to language and culture. It is also what led me to turn knitting from a personal hobby into Purl Jam and to help bring books and scholarships to students through The Knowledge Express.

These experiences have taught me that meaningful change rarely begins with a grand gesture. More often, it starts with something small, such as a question worth pursuing, a skill shared with a child, a rhythm that brings a crowd together, or a book placed in the hands of someone eager to read.

What matters most to me is not simply what I accomplish, but what those experiences allow me to understand. Each one has taught me to pay closer attention to people, to systems, and to the possibilities hidden inside ordinary ideas. My journey continues to be shaped by curiosity, connection, and the belief that even small acts, pursued with care and purpose, can grow into something much larger.
